All PRX800 Series cabinets are built from strong, lightweight poplar plywood made structurally sound with tongue and groove joints and protected by JBL’s tour-proven DuraFlex finish. The PRX800 full-range tops all share some common specifications and technology including 1500 watts of Class-D Crown amplification, JBL premium transducers, and a purpose-built designed enclosure that is rugged, intuitive to use, and easy to transport. The low-frequency drivers utilize JBL’s patented Differential Drive Technology with ferrite magnets which offer reduced weight, increased power handling, and low distortion. Each speaker also utilizes JBL’s 2408H-2, a 1.5" annular polymer diaphragm, neodymium compression driver mounted to a 90° x 50° horn that delivers very high power levels and smooth, crystal clear sound.
Sophisticated DSP is at the core of a fully featured input section, providing user selectable system EQ, protection, input sensitivity selection, cross-over functionality, dynamic limiting and discrete component optimization. The back panel offers two channels of input via combo XLR-1/4” inputs with direct outputs and gain control knobs. An additional mix output sums the two channels, adding flexibility when deploying multiple speakers. A sensitivity switch provides extra flexibility making it possible to connect any sound source without the need for a mixer.
The PRX812P is a 12” 2-way powered loudspeaker with user selectable presets for Main or Monitor positions. A main selection delivers a frequency response of 58.1 Hz to 20 kHz (-3 dB), while the monitor selection offers 59 Hz to 20 kHz (-3 dB). The maximum SPL output is 135 dB.
The PRX815P is a 15” 2-way powered loudspeaker with user selectable presets for Main or Monitor positions. A main selection delivers a frequency response of 56 Hz to 20 kHz (-3 dB), while the monitor selection offers 55 Hz to 19 kHz (-3 dB). The maximum SPL output is 137 dB.
The PRX835P is a 15” 3-way powered loudspeaker, which adds a 6.5” mid-frequency driver and offers user selectable Normal or Boost settings. A normal selection delivers a frequency response of 50 Hz to 18.25 kHz (-3 dB), while the boost selection offers 48 Hz to 20 kHz (-3 dB). The maximum SPL output is 138 dB.
The PRX825W is a dual 15” 2-way powered loudspeaker, which utilizes two 15” drivers and offers user selectable Normal or Boost settings. A normal selection delivers a frequency response of 52 Hz to 16.25 kHz (-3 dB), while the boost selection offers 51.8 Hz to 17.5 kHz (-3 dB). The maximum SPL output is 138 dB.
The PRX800 subwoofers are designed to provide extended sub bass frequencies with accuracy and power. Used as a single sub/sat system or in multiples as part of a scalable, large-format sound reinforcement system, the PRX815XLFW and PRX818XLFW subwoofers are comprised of a powerful Differential Drive dual-voice-coil and magnetic gap woofer driven by a 1500-watt Class-D amplifier. Sophisticated DSP is at the core of a fully featured input section, providing user selectable cross-over functionality, polarity optimization, protection, dynamic limiting and discrete component optimization. The amplifier input panel offers stereo inputs with combo XLR-1/4” jack compatibility. A user selectable crossover ensures a smooth transition to full-range system connected to the stereo outputs.
The PRX815XLFW is a 15” powered subwoofer which delivers a frequency response of 40 to 87 Hz (-3 dB) and a peak SPL output of 131 dB.
The PRX818XLFW is an 18” powered subwoofer which delivers a frequency response of 35 to 87 Hz (-3 dB) and a peak SPL output of 134 dB
