Slate Digital is famous for its analog emulative software but, at NAMM 2019, the company will unveil the next generation of a famed piece of hardware—the Raven. Already home in many commercial and project studios alike, the Raven reimagined the analog mixing board as a sort of tablet, providing a tactile experience for the modern, knobless world.
With the Slate Raven MTZ, users will experience a 43" projective-capacitance, no-bezel panel with ten multi-touch points. These ten touch points achieve one thing: each of your fingers can operate a fader. With VGA, DVI-I, HDMI, PC-Audio, and USB connections, the system can integrate with a variety of devices. It's compatible with Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Cubase, Nuendo, Digital Performer, Ableton Live, and Studio One. What's more, the Raven comes with a DAW support license of your choice, while additional DAW support licenses can be purchased separately.
This Raven is thinner than past versions, with a depth of only 1.5", making it streamlined for the modern working environment. Looking for mounting options in your studio? The Raven MTZ will integrate with multiple pieces of desk furniture, made by sterling companies such as Sterling Modular, Zaor, and Argosy.
And here's the pièce de résistance: While the original, large-format Slate Raven MTX sold for $16,000 when it was introduced, the new MTZ ships for a fraction of the price, making it well within reach for pro audio denizens who work from home. How's that for a Raven system? Quoth the customer, "evermore!"

This is nice. I can't wait to open up my MTZ. But having trouble finding a Budget Desk that will fit. I would love to have a Sit to stand desk for the MTZ. But not luck yet.
