Arturia has long been known for its excellent software instruments, whether for use in a DAW, or at the heart of the company’s hardware packages. On top of this, the company’s V Collections provided users with a cost-effective software bundle featuring some of the company’s greatest hits. The new V Collection 5 has been revamped with the addition of five new instruments, along with several other improvements, for a total of seventeen emulations.
The new instruments include the Synclavier V, B-3 V (Hammond), Stage-73 V (Rhodes), Farfisa V, and Piano V, a physically modeled acoustic piano. The collection now concentrates exclusively on keyboards, with the presets for the original nine synthesizers, three organs, and two classic electric pianos—the iconic string machine and acoustic piano entirely rethought, edited, or completely re-programmed.
To reflect the new arrangements, the graphical user interface has been updated to support 4K monitor resolution, allowing for a much smoother user experience. The included Analog Lab 2 becomes the ultimate keyboard sounds collection, with more than 5,000 sounds.
