DJI Announces Updated DJI Matrice 200 V2 Series

Great news for professional drone operators: DJI has announced updates to its lauded Matrice 200 series of drones. The “V2” lineup boasts several new and improved features to all three models—the 200, 210, and 210 RTK—including bolstered transmission technology, better flight performance, and improved data accuracy. Along with those updates, the drones will maintain their signature ruggedness and all-weather design, as well as their intuitive setup and configuration.

The most significant updates to the Matrice 200 series were made to areas concerning reliability, safety, and security. For instance, each V2 model is now equipped with OcuSync 2.0, which enables automatic dual-frequency band switching that provides reliable, high-res, low-latency digital video transmission from up to 5 miles away. On top of that, all data transmitted through OcuSync 2.0 is encrypted using the AES-256 standard, ensuring information is secure and accessible only by authorized parties. To improve safety, anti-collision beacons have been added to the top and bottom of the drone to enhance flight safety in low-light conditions. Additionally, V2 drones use DJI’s AirSense system to alert pilots of approaching air traffic that might pose a collision threat. All these updates, along with improvements to flight performance and data accuracy, make the new Matrice 200 drones even more prepared to tackle challenging missions, from construction applications and infrastructure survey to public safety tasks and search and rescue and operations.

As with the original Matrice 200 line, the V2 series will be available in three configurations: the 200, the 210, and the 210 RTK. Each variation represents a specific feature upgrade from its predecessor. The 210 incorporates all the features of the 200 and adds options for multiple payload configurations. The 210 RTK carries all the features of the 210 and adds a built-in RTK module.
