DJI just unveiled the Inspire 3, a professional-level "all-in-one" 8K camera drone that features some of the most sophisticated and ambitious technology we've ever seen in a pro-grade flyer. The recently announced drone features an all-new integrated design, a powerful new full-frame 8K imaging system, the O3 Pro video transmission and control system, and much, much more.
Compared to the DJI Inspire 2, the image quality and operation efficiency of the Inspire 3 is greatly improved—thanks, in part, to its custom-built full-frame gimbal camera, the Zenmuse X9-8K. The Zenmuse X9-8K comes with DJI's latest image processing system, CineCore 3.0, and supports recording video up to 8K resolution at 25 fps in CinemaDNG and 8K at 75 fps in Apple ProRes RAW, meeting the needs of top-class film and television productions.
A significant upgrade this time around is the Inspire 3's use of DJI's all-new O3 Pro video transmission system, which supports simultaneous video transmission of the gimbal and FPV cameras. O3 Pro enables a maximum transmission distance of 15 km in single control mode and 12 km in dual-control mode. The gimbal camera and FPV camera support 1080p/60fps live feeds and an ultra-low latency of 90 ms. Two remote controllers can receive live feeds and control the drone independently, so the pilot and gimbal operator can be at different positions on set.
In tandem with the new 8K Zenmuse camera system, Spotlight Pro's functionality has been upgraded to enable solo creators with even more shot possibilities. Using machine-learning algorithms, the Inspire 3 offers automated subject recognition and locking for people, vehicles, and boats with greater accuracy. And now, when using Spotlight Pro's Follow mode, the aircraft and gimbal camera can be oriented in the same direction and remain locked on the subject so that the pilot can get circling shots without manual framing adjustments.
Inspire 3 also uses a new TB51 dual-battery system. TB51 batteries are smaller, lighter, more streamlined, and have a higher voltage compared to TB50. They provide 28-minute maximum flight time and support hot swapping with a redesigned battery release that allows effortless continuous operation.
Based on everything we've seen so far, the Inspire 3 looks to be one of the most sophisticated, most capable camera drones ever produced.

This looks like the drone for me. I am looking forward to learning of the safety features that help protect the investment. I am also looking forward to reviews.DJI makes the best drones pro drones and I was beginning to think the inspire line was being scrapped.
Thanks for your comment, Dennis. We're glad this drone is a good fit for you!
Is this yet another DJI drone that isn't compatible with DJI's own goggles?
Hi Gavin -
As far as we know, DJI Googles will not connect to the DJI RC Plus controller.
I’m going to assume u live in a really nice area. If not you should thank DJI for not making the goggs compatible w/ everything. Because Ive seen & almost become victim to someone coming up tryin sucker punch me while flyin FPV thanks to my blk lab that halted the punk from doing it. Then had random bystanders tell me thats why my dogg was trippin out while i was flying & I’ve unfortunately seen it happen to others too, them not so lucky & me too far away for me to stop it. & honestly U really dont need the goggs unless you’re FPV’n its really pointless to take pics w/ goggs or even video on the simple fact that these DON’T fly like FPV drones u ain’t goin fast enough to need em & most phones or the controller screen is way better for pics and vids than using the goggs. Just my 2 cents, high school kids these days at least on the west coast & other parts of country are on a new level of sucker punches & jumping innocent people as long as their friends film it so they can get the views online. You’ve been warned. Cheers mate
Hey Chase, thanks for sharing. We're sorry this happened to you.
