Monitor your shots without a tether using the latest release from Hollyland, the fully wireless 7" Cosmo M7 wireless LCD. The compact 7" monitor is small enough to fit on top of a camera or carry around the set. The M7 provides a luminous 1500 cd/m2 brightness, allowing you to monitor in daylight or in bright environments, and it features 1920 x 1200 resolution.
The M7 has no physical video inputs and operates fully wirelessly. It can receive a signal from a Cosmo 2000 transmitter from up to 600' away, so directors can feel free to wander. It operates on the free 5 GHz wireless range, and it features a channel scanner that helps to find the strongest transmission signal. You can also use multiple M7 monitors with a single transmitter without any interference or signal degradation.
Other features of the M7 include a USB Type-A port, which allows you to import 3D LUTs to match your camera's color profile, as well as a 3.5mm headphone output to monitor embedded audio from your video signal. Internal visual functions include numerous professional video aids such as False Color, Zebra, Histogram, Zoom, Waveform, and monitoring audio levels. The monitor also allows image rotation and it will display multiple aspect ratios such as 4:3, 16:10, 16:9, 1:85:1, 2:35:1, and 2:39:1. Three user function buttons on the front allow you to customize functions that you use more often.
The M7's physical features include standard 1/4"-20 mounting threads on the sides and bottom, so you can mount the monitor on a stand, camera, rig, or mount handles like the wooden ones that are included in with the monitor. It includes a neck strap to secure the monitor while you're in motion, and a sun hood is included to prevent any glare from getting in the way of your image.
Finally, the monitor is powered using a dual L-series battery plate on the back. It can run for up to four hours using two high-capacity NP-F970 batteries, a considerable duration for a bright monitor. You can power the monitor using an external power source with the D-Tap cable that is included with the monitor, but if you want to run fully wirelessly, battery power gives you the most mobility.
This professional-grade, on-camera wireless monitor packs in dozens of features and compatibility with the latest high-resolution video technology, supporting a wide range of live and post-production workflows. Check out the monitor on the B&H Photo Website or for more information.
