Auray LMS-335 overview

  • 1Description

The Auray LMS -335 Studio Monitor Stands are durably constructed and designed to support studio monitors at the optimal listening position in professional and home recording studios.

Each stand is constructed from steel tubing and a 9" steel plate. An ergonomic locking knob secures the stand and a locking pin is inserted into six pre-drilled holes to allow the height of each monitor to be adjusted between 35 and 58.5".

The three-leg design has a base spread of 23" for stability and a geometry that allows for the stand to fit around corners and beside studio furniture. They come with both interchangeable rubber feet for hard wood floors as well as metal spike feet for carpeted floors. The necessary tools and hardware for assembling the stands and changing the feet from rubber pads to metal spikes are included. Two touch fastener straps are included on the central supports for neatly securing cables to the stand.

    Auray LMS-335 reviews

LMS -335 Studio Monitor Stands (Pair) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid stands, get the job done Use these with KRK Rokit 6s, and they are sturdy with a wide base for stability and get the job done well. Wouldn't recommend using them for monitors over 6 inches as the KRK 6s take up the entire mounting plate. Come with some velcro straps for cable management, which is a nice touch.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from ok for the price Nice finish. Decent price compared to other stands. Decent, but also disappointing quality. The monitor platform is not perpendicular to the center column or parallel to the legs. This causes the monitor to not sit level, no matter how level your floor is. This is a defect due to the platform not sitting perpendicular to the main tube that it mounts to. This is strictly due to poor manufacturing tolerances. The legs flex (I'm only using Yamaha HS8 monitors. They weigh less than 1/3 the rated capacity of these stands) This causes the center post of the stand to sag. This can cause a problem if your floor is carpeted. Even with the carpet spikes, the center of the stand may end up sinking into your carpet. My carpet pile is not that deep, maybe even just a bit below average depth. Due to low manufacturing tolerances and lackluster quality, it can be difficult to get the stand to sit vertically (and not leaning in any direction). For the price, these stands are decent. Given that there seems to be very few, if any, high quality options when it comes to telescoping monitor stands, I can not recommend avoiding these. Just be aware of the caveats.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product - well made I would purchase gain I am using one of these stands to support my Center Speaker for my home theater system, It needed to be adjustable to over 52 inches and this was one of the few that I found that met this requirement, It is very sturdy and the height adjustment was easy to use and very secure due to an added locking pin to make sure that the adjustment would not slip. If there was anything I would change about it, It would be the distance between the adjustment holes They are 4 1/2 apart,I would add an additional hole between the existing holes to make it more versatile, other wise it is a great product and well worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Some big, sturdy speaker stands I actually returned mine in full disclosure. They're way bigger than I expected them to be and for the monitors I have in the space available - too much. That being said, they're very sturdy, nicely built, and clean-looking. You can mount the monitors pretty high up if desired but the lowest setting is a couple inches above desk height. Nice stands.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quality Control is lacking So, these seem pretty good, but I was missing a key bolt to hold the top to the stand, and one of the nuts that hold the leg on was stripped and wouldn't tighten. A trip to several HW stores later and I had it together, although NOT with true replacement parts (hard to find).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastc for the price These stands are very well constructed. Fit and finish is excellent. I like the tripod-type base with rounded rubber end coverings (as opposed to the triangular on most other brands) -- safe with small children or barefoot. The wide base makes it very sturdy. The stand extends smoothly and quite tall. The top plate are a bit small at 9 square though. One minor issue I had was the round plastic trim pieces that covers the base were broken (plastic is so thin). No big deal; it doesn't look bad without them. These also makes a great small projector stands.Very happy with the purchase!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ok for the price, but just ok The stands work fine, however the base plate is covered by a thin cheap plastic. When the stands arrived, the plastic was shattered on one stand during shipping. Also the legs are at fixed angles and cannot be adjusted for ideal placement.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good enough for my needs Easy to assemble, reasonably priced. Suit my needs well. The only thing I'd note is that the base legs take up a larger area than I'd expected and are tough to squeeze into my tight space. Also, they're not entirely free of wobble. But I'm keeping them. I like the included pins for height adjustment, and the velcro for fixing cables to stand. The platforms are the perfect size for my 6.5 monitors.
