Oh boy. It doesn't properly fit.
If you buy this item 2 things will probably happen: You'll open the package and take the battery out. You'll place the battery into your camera (GH4 or GH5) and as you push the battery in you'll soon discover that the placement of the cable on the dummy battery doesn't allow for it to be inserted all the way into the camera. The cable placement not only blocks the battery from being properly placed into the camera but it also doesn't even line up with the little flap that houses the dummy battery cable. You'll wonder why this was designed this way. Did indiPRO even bother to test their battery design with an actual GH4 or GH5? But no bother.� You're smart. You know that if you jam the battery in there you're probably going to damage the cable, most likely by stripping it, thereby endangering the life of the battery and voiding any chance of returning it for a refund.� Then you’ll return the battery for a full refund. -or- You'll do what I did: You'll think "hmm, I imagine the folks at indiPRO designed the battery to be this way because they know how a GH4's battery housing works. After all the title of the product specifically names the GH4 as the intended recipient of the dummy battery they designed so it's probably made this way for a reason." You'll remind yourself of that fact as you forcefully jam the battery into the camera, squashing and stripping the cable, but eventually getting it to fit. Once the DTap is connected to the V-mount battery you'll fire up camera. Hee-Haw! It works!� ..but at a severe cost. By stripping the cable you'll have exposed the wires to potential irreversible damage. You’ll probably have 2 maybe 3 more chances to remove and re-insert the battery before it's totally gone. (I had 2).� Once the battery is rendered useless you'll reach out to the people at indiPRO informing them of the design flaw and resulting damage caused by it. Although they respond quickly and are trying to be helpful even after you state the obvious: "how can you design a battery intended for a specific camera and then not properly design the battery for that camera?" they'll tell you: "that's just they way the battery is designed.” Then they’ll offer you a free replacement cable which is funny in a Sisyphus kind of way. � Looks like the battery wasn't the only dummy.
