Lost the USB cable for my Nikon D500. This is an exact Nikon replacement. Works great just pricey for what it is. Aah, Nikon!
I always use Nikon accessories for my Nikon equipment.
After months of frustration and experimentation, it became evident that Nikon's relatively expensive USB 3.0 cable is worth the investment. Shooting tethered with several name brand cables, like Tether Tools, my laptop would loose connection to the camera every 20 minute. With the Nikon cable to the camera connected to a ten foot extension cable to the laptop, tethering has been fast and reliable. I bought this cable to use as a spare.
The cable works as expected. No Regrets
Bought this as a just-in-case backup, because it fits the port and locking mechanism that came with my D810, and no other manufacturer makes one with a similar narrow shape. Had one for the last couple of years and its outlasted other USB extension cords I've had to use with it, which gets to the one problem: it is very short in length. I need my laptop right next to the camera if I'm not using some kind of additional extension cable. Product gets four stars for that reason alone,
My original cable which came with the camera started producing a poor connection after many uses so I switched to this new original cable which works fine
Ordered a spare USB cable from BH Photo so I would have a convenient spareable to download photos from camera. As usual, my order arrived in just two days in a well protected package. Instructions provided allowed for easy install. BH reached out a few days later to ask if my purchase was satisfactory and if I needed any assistance. I love ordering from BH!
I purchased this cable to connect my D5 or D850 to my laptop to do training videos. It was simple and worked as it was supposed to.
