Ordered a spare USB cable from BH Photo so I would have a convenient spareable to download photos from camera. As usual, my order arrived in just two days in a well protected package. There are USB3 cables made by other manufacturers to replace these shorter cables. An example would be BH# TECU5453.

Will the Nikon UC-E22 USB 3.0 Cable charge battery while shooting a long session? Do I need a different cable or set up?
The Nikon UC-E22 USB 3.0 Cable does not support in camera charging. Since it is only compatible with the D500, D5, D810, or D850, those cameras do not support in camera charging.

The UC-E14 is designed for the HDMI output of the D800 while the UC-E22 is for the HDMI output of the D810.
