It is also useful as a general protective filter to leave on lenses at all times in order to reduce dust and moisture from reaching the front lens element and to provide additional protection in case of accidental impacts.

The EVO antistatic coating on this filter helps to repel dust, as well as water, scratches, and stains, and aids in making the substrate easy to clean. Additionally, a 16-layer Super Multi-Coating helps to reduce surface reflections and ghosting for maintained contrast and clarity. The optical glass filter is set within a one-piece low-profile aluminum ring, which lessens the likelihood of vignetting if used on a wide-angle lens. Hi, are these the "super slim" frame? I have read about a couple people with sony camera lenses that have issues with the lens cap scratching the filter because of the slim/low profile design. Thanks

I'm considering using this filter on a canon EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM lens mounted on a Canon 6D body. Will the depth of this filter's frame result in any vignetting in the images taken at the lens's widest angle of view (16mm)?

question

Is this filter compatible with Sony A7RII?
Asked by: Khanh D.
I am not specifically familiar with your Sony lens, as I shoot all Canon equipment, but as I understand it the Sony A7RII is a camera body not specifically a lens, so it would depend on what lens you have mounted to your Sony camera. As a general accessory this filter will fit any lens that has a 77mm internal screw thread. The thread is standard on all lens manufacturers, so you just need to check the spec's of your intended lens and see what diameter the the outer lens element is. This diameter varies on the model of lens and is usually printed on the outer lens element periphery along with the focal length, fstop etc. and should also be one of the specifications of the lens.
