Hoya EVO Antistatic UV Filter Overview

The Hoya 67mm EVO Antistatic UV(0) Filter is a general use, clear filter that helps to absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. It is also useful as a general protective filter to leave on lenses at all times in order to reduce dust and moisture from reaching the front lens element and to provide additional protection in case of accidental impacts.

The EVO antistatic coating on this filter helps to repel dust, water, scratches, and stains, and aids in making the substrate easy to clean. Additionally, a 18-layer multicoating helps to reduce surface reflections and ghosting for maintained contrast and clarity. The optical glass filter is set within a one-piece, low-profile aluminum ring, which lessens the likelihood of vignetting if used on a wide-angle lens. The ring also features front threads for attaching additional filters or lens caps.

The clear filter provides no additional coloration or contrast, allowing you to pair this filter with others.
99.8% light transmission ensures maintained contrast and color fidelity.

Hoya EVO Antistatic UV Filter Reviews

Another quality product from Hoya. Photographic quality glass that's highly transparent and has several coatings to preserve light transmission through the glass. I'm counting on the antistatic properties to aid in preventing dust accumulation on the UV filter and therefore dust ending up on my images. I always like a little extra protection on the front of my lens to prevent possible scratches.

Great product as always expected from Hoya. This is an addition to my other filters. I have used Hoya brand for 30 yrs. Never an issue with this filter. It protects my glass and exceeds my expectations.

Hi, are these the "super slim" frame? I have read about a couple people with sony camera lenses that have issues with the lens cap scratching the filter because of the slim/low profile design. Thanks
Asked by: Renee
The Hoya 77mm EVO Antistatic UV(0) Filter is not super slim as the ring is 4 mm deep. Most 77 mm lens caps have about 2 mm depth so the lens cap will not scratch the filter.

I'm considering using this filter on a canon EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM lens mounted on a Canon 6D body. Will the depth of this filter's frame result in any vignetting in the images taken at the lens's widest angle of view (16mm)?
