Key Features
  • Minimize Reflections and Glare
  • Reduces Haze and Blue Cast in Landscapes
  • Enhances Color and Tonal Saturation
  • 18-Layer Super Multicoating
The 62mm EVO Antistatic Circular Polarizer Filter from Hoya helps reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface. This results in a noticeable increase in the saturation of skies and foliage, as well as clearer imagery when photographing in hazy conditions. A circular polarizer differs from a linear polarizer in that it supports full use of a camera's autofocus and autoexposure functions.

Hoya EVO Overview

The 62mm EVO Antistatic Circular Polarizer Filter from Hoya helps reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface. This results in a noticeable increase in the saturation of skies and foliage, as well as clearer imagery when photographing in hazy conditions. A circular polarizer differs from a linear polarizer in that it supports full use of a camera's autofocus and autoexposure functions.

The EVO antistatic coating on this filter helps repel dust, as well as water, scratches, and stains, and it aids in making the substrate easy to clean. Additionally, an 18-layer Super Multicoating helps reduce surface reflections and ghosting for maintained contrast and clarity. The optical glass filter is set within a two-piece aluminum ring, which features front threads for attaching additional filters or lens caps.

Reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface.
Arrange and filter directionally polarized light perpendicularly to the reflected light, allowing for the absorption of much of the light.
Lessens haze in distant landscapes and provides more saturated, vivid colors.
Then strongest effect is when used at a 90° angle from the sun.
Optical glass construction and an 18-layer Super Multicoating provide 99.8% light transmission for maintained contrast and color fidelity.
EVO antistatic coating helps repel dust and is water, stain, and scratch resistant. This hardened coating is also easy to clean to remove smudges or fingerprints.
Two-piece aluminum filter ring incorporates front 62mm filter threads for stacking additional filters or attaching lens caps.

Hoya EVO Reviews

Excellent filter

I used this filter on my long range zoom lens for my Pentax K-1 Mk II. The filter was critical to getting good results as most of my shots were outdoors in direct sun with some amount of haze. The filter gave excellent definition to the clouds and removed the haze. I have one of these on all of my lenses.

Works as expected

Fits over Hoya EVO UV filter and on/off are not problematic, I.e., no binding. Have dialled out some window glare. Not magic but it works.

question

What's the difference between the Hoya EVO line and FUSION line of circular polarizers? This is very confusing.
Asked by: Michael
The EVO series are designed for sale in the US markets, while the Fusion line is sold outside the US. There is no difference between the two filter lines physically.
