Kinesis Safarisack 1.4 Reviews
I should have got this a long time ago!
I had always heard about using a bean bag for macro work but always relied on tripods. Once I did purchase the SafariSack i was very impressed with a well thought out product and quality build. Using it today for some close to ground flowers in rocky terrain it was a joy to use. I even worked a couple of focus stack images with a focusing rail firmly sitting on the bag. This bag is now a permeant part of my Macro kit to take in the field.
Excellent quick and easy camera support
I recently returned from a safari in South Africa, where our wildlife photography opportunities were from inside a car. The Safarisack 1.4 Beanbag was a quick and easy way to achieve good camera stability (using a heavy Pentax K-1 and 150-450 zoom combination). I filled it with dried split peas, which were easily obtainable and worked great, and I found the size of the 1.4 model bag just right. The rubberized surface minimizes slipping on the window edge or other surface, which was always an issue with previous home made beanbags I have used, and the carry handle makes handling very easy. I also enjoyed being able to empty the bag after the trip, getting rid of weight and bulk for air travel back home. Highly recommended.
