Nifty product for stabilizing a camera without a tripod

I’ll be doing landscape photography in Italy and France, and then a tiger safari in India. I wanted something that would hang over a window, sit on top of the car or anywhere I could find a stable surface for the camera. The bag is well made with a rubber bottom that will protect it and keep it dry; if it’s super windy there is a loop I can use to hang the bag, full of rocks, from my Manfrotto tripod for stability. I bought the recommended buckwheat hulls for a light filling but it also works if I stuff the bag with my woolen hat and scarf to save space. I am going to see if it works in places like churches where they won’t allow tripods.

Maybe buy the bigger one.

It's very nicely made. I bought 32oz a bag of Loops & Thread Pellets from Michael's. That was just enough to fill it. It would be nice if they had a size in-between the 1.4 and the 4.2. The 1.4 is a little smaller than I expected. But it works for my needs.
