question

will autofocus work with the 1.4 converter with the sigma 150-600 5-6.3 sports lens and nikon d750?
Asked by: adam
I have the nikon D-750 and also the new Sigma 150-600 lens. In my research I have read that the new TC- 401 will auto focus . I just ordered the new TC-401 and as soon as it arrives from B&H next week, I will write a new review and answer the big question! auto focus or no auto focus. Maybe if someone from Sigma or B&H could advise all of us sooner then later.

If I’m using a crop sensor with my sigma 150/600 ...

If I’m using a crop sensor with my sigma 150/600 lens. Thereby getting 225/900 focal length. By adding this converter will I be increasing the focal range even more or is it a redundancy?
Asked by: Hrair
Yes, it will increase the focal length as you described. Keep in mind that there will also be a loss of light, so you will have to make appropriate adjustments with your settings, including shooting at a higher ISO while trying to maintain a high shutter speed. It shouldn't be a problem in mid-day but may be in lower light situations. I've gotten very sharp images using this teleconverter with a sigma 150-600 lens when the light is adequate.
