Formatt Hitech Firecrest ND Filter (49mm, 9-Stop)
Key Features
  • 2.7 Optical Density
  • 15-Layer Coating on Outside of Filter
  • Hydrophobic and Scratch Resistant
  • Schott Superwite Glass
The 49mm Formatt-Hitech Firecrest ND Filter is a solid neutral density filter providing a 9-stop reduction in exposure. This 2.7 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or longer shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily.

Will this filter fit inside the Wine Country ...

Will this filter fit inside the Wine Country Camera 150 mm x 150 mm filter vault? I see the Formatt Hitech is 4 mm thick. I think the Wine Country Blackstone filters are 2mm thick but I can find no information to verify this.
Asked by: Mike
The Wine Country filter holders have 2mm slots, so that filter is not compatible.

Are the stops marked clearly?
Asked by: Peter
Formatt Hitech 67mm Firecrest ND 1.8 Filter (6-Stop) is a solid ND so it only blocks 6 stops. A variable ND filter would have marked stops on the ring such as this Tiffen: https://bhpho.to/2SR9RfT
