The RODE NTG2 Shotgun Microphone Accessory Kit from B&H equips you with the versatile NTG2 shotgun microphone and accessories to improve its performance in the field. The NTG2's elevated sensitivity allows it to produce strong output levels without having to apply extreme gain at your mic preamp. Sonically, the NTG2 delivers consistently clear sound due in part to its gentle rise in high frequencies and its rumble-reducing selectable low-cut filter. The durable and lightweight high-grade aluminum housing is finished in hard-wearing epoxy paint to withstand the stress of location recording.
The Lyre Mount with Pistol Grip Handle from Rycote allows for handheld operation of shotgun microphones, or for boompole mounting with the 3/8"-16 threading at the base of the grip. It offers isolation against many forms of disturbances including handling noise when handheld, stand mounted, or when mounted on a boompole. The mount accommodates microphones with a 0.7 to 1.3" (19 to 34mm) diameter and is designed to fit MKH microphones.
The Rode WS6 Deluxe Windshield provides excellent noise protection against high wind and adverse weather conditions. The slip-on design of the WS6 features dimensions that accommodate the Rode NTG4, NTG4+, NTG2 and NTG1 microphones; as well as any shotgun or stereo mic with a length of 6.25" (160.5mm) and diameter of 0.88" (22.5mm).
