VSN Mobil V.360 overview

  • 1Description

Take photos and videos which encompass a full 360° field-of-view using the VSN Mobil V.360° Panoramic VR Sports Video Camera . Enclosed in the aluminum cylindrical body of the V.360° is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor which handles the capture and de-warping of your 6480 x 1080 images for seamless panoramic photos and videos. Sensors on the camera include a barometer, accelerometer, GPS, and altimeter. These sensors can add relevant information to your recordings.

You can mount the V.360° using the integrated standard 1/4"-20 thread. If you have three-prong GoPro-compatible action camera mounts, the V.360° is compatible with those as well using an included adapter. With that combination, you can mount the camera to virtually any surface. Since the camera is shockproof, dustproof, and waterproof up to three feet for 30 minutes, you can bring it along on aquatic, rocky, or sandy adventures. A silicone cover is included to add further durability as well as reduce high-speed wind noise.

Use the included Bluetooth remote to control the V.360°. It has one button to take a photo, and one button to record video. For more advanced options, the V.360° can also be controlled by your Apple or Android smartphone using the V.360° Companion mobile app. The camera can act as a Wi-Fi hotspot so you and your friends can view recorded footage or control the camera. The mobile app can also be used to make quick edits of recorded footage for immediate sharing.

    VSN Mobil V.360 reviews

V.360 Panoramic VR Sports Video Camera is rated 2.8 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Ready for Prime Time - Wait until version 2.0 I was excited when I opened the package. The website makes it look compelling. Upon first inspection, the product seems adequately built. Physical quality seemed appropriate for a video device. it has a neat bubble on top to ensure that you have it level. The carrying case is very thin - offers very little, if any, protection. I put it a 128GB flash card, formatted it in exFat (which the FAQ recommends) and read the manual cover-to-cover. I started with the remote control and it seemed to work ok. There are no controls on the camera itself, so you have to use the remote control or the APP. I loaded the iPhone APP on my phone and here is where the problems begin. There are three issues with this video device: (1) The app starts in bluetooth, which seems ok to check settings, and it takes you to the wifi mode to view the videos, which seemed fine at first, but then the wifi loses connection and the only way I could re-establish a connection was to reboot m phone and pull the battery out of the V.360. And the same thing occurred several times. It lets you see the videos and records, but once you start enjoying yourself, it drops the connection. It does not even let you go back to the Bluetooth mode. I had to reboot this device several times, as well as my phone. I check the settings and I had it set right (at the default settings - there was nothing unusual). I even disconnected the remote device in the App (and eventually reconnected it since that was not the problem). (2) So I said, screw the app - I'll just use the remote. Well it froze as well. It froze in the record mode and became unresponsive and I had to battery reboot the device. (3) So I pulled the card and put it in my computer. My images uploaded fine. I checked them in Quicktime and Final Cut Pro and the standard definition format video files came through OK, but the high def format was chopped in half and stacked. What good is that? In an HD world, that feature is totally useless. So I pulled a bunch of screen grabs and prepare a technical support request on their website and when i pressed submit, nothing happened. So I figured I had to set up an account, but their web site was unresponsive. I spent three hours trying to get the V.360 to work and could not. I am tech saavy, I have every version of GoPros, worked with Drift Innovations, Garmin Virb, and PivotHead and have not had trouble getting the devices to work within 10 min of opening the box. I also have several DSLRs. I write this to warn others and to give the manufacturer some honest feedback.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It came defective, had to return it. Had a defective remote control with my order and had to return it to BH. But overall the camera was good with a decent image quality and functional wireless iOS function.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good start in 360/Panorama video After producing the first 360 video of my career, I can say that this camera is now$ gopro rig. Which is fine, it's not meant to be. The camera has a few pros and few pitfalls for the money.Pros: camera records 4k-ish (more about that later) Easy to set up and start filming Does as it says, creates 360 panoramic photos/videos The software which is free to download on their website is relatively simple to use and stitch the video together.Cons: at almost $ dollars, I would have hoped the camera could record a usable frame rate at 4k topping out more than the newest gopro model and only being able to record somewhere between 15-17 FPS. Additionally as you might have guessed, it's not a true 360 degree spherical video which is ideal if you're wanting the full 360 experience. You are somewhat limited to your own ability once the video is stitched together to figure it out in terms of displaying your video to others. Here's the video I shot with it, keep in mind with no manual controls and shooting in lowlight is jumps the shutter speed to compensate for f3.5 lens. @

Rated 5 out of 5 by from V360- Absolutely AMAZING!!!!! Amazing!!! Before the V360 I had to use 3 GOpros to capture the same amount of footage. A camera that records 360 degrees, I wish I invented it!!!
