Will this fit in the overhead compartment on a plane?
Enter My purchase replaced a ten year old Tamrac six pack. The Anvil is more compact than the six pack but it houses all of the camera gear stored in the older bag. The Anvil does not have space for some of the accessories. But it does fit under the airline seat, and even the overhead in commuter jets that require under plane storage for standard sized carry on luggage. I am most pleased with the purchase.an answer to this question.

Hi Collin,Yes it does, by placing 1 or 2 of the legs inside of the lower zip compartment and then strapping the upper portion of the tripod to the outside of the bag.
