I was surprised to see this was still available for purchase given the age of the Canon SL1. Fit is excellent and works well in Really Right Stuff lever clamps. My only gripe is that unlike other plates I have, the screw for this one is not captive with the plate (it will fall away from the plate as soon as it’s unbolted from the camera).

What kind of tripod would this quick release plate work with?
It isn't the tripod that's important here, it is the ball head on the tripod. You can use that release plate with a ball head that has an Arca type clamp. Most of those type of ball heads will attached to any tripod.
