LensCoat Pro Jr Overview

The black, empty LensSack Pro Jr Beanbag Support from LensCoat provides a stable base for lenses up to 500mm. It has a removable mounting plate with a 3/8"-16 thread so that you can attach a gimbal or other tripod head to the beanbag. Made from water-resistant Cordura, the LensSack Pro Jr features MOLLE webbing, two storage pockets, and two adjustable straps allow for easy carrying.

The bag is flat on the side where the mounting plate can be attached, and is U-shaped on the other side with a nonslip coating. The beanbag ships empty and can be filled with your choice of filler including environmentally-friendly sunflower seeds or buckwheat hulls, or the Kinesis Poly Bead Fill for SafariSack 4.2. Two locking YKK zippers make filling and emptying the bag an easy task, and reinforced seams keep your fill from spilling. The LensSack Pro Jr is made in the USA.

I do a lot of photography and having a stable platform from my car window (and elsewhere) is a tremendous aid. The LensCoat LensSack Pro Jr Beanbag support is a good size for my 500+mm lens especially with the added plate support which really adds stability. The quality of material used is important and the LensCoat beanbag is a very good quality. I used sunflower seeds in plastic bags as my filler and that did not add too much weight. A very good product which I would recommend.

I would have given this LensCoat LensSack Pro Jr a 5 star except for the fact it doesn't have separate compartments. It's well made and I think I'll get a lot of use from it.
