LensCoat Pro Jr Overview

The black, empty LensSack Pro Jr Beanbag Support from LensCoat provides a stable base for lenses up to 500mm. The bag is flat on the side where the mounting plate can be attached, and is U-shaped on the other side with a nonslip coating. The beanbag ships empty and can be filled with your choice of filler including environmentally-friendly sunflower seeds or buckwheat hulls, or the Kinesis Poly Bead Fill for SafariSack 4.2. question

Shooting from a Silverado pickup with a Nikon D810 and a Sigma Sport 150-600mm lens, would the Pro or the Jr. be a better choice?
Asked by: Clayton
The jr. works fine w/ my 400 mm lens and small car. But I'd say the Pro would be better for your lens and bigger vehicle.

question

Would this bag be oK to use with a Sigma 500 f4.5 lens?
Asked by: Anonymous
I bought it to use with my Sigma 150-600 and it works great! I've used it to support lenses on the hood of my car and by slipping it over the door to shoot bald eagles using the car as a blind. I have the metal plate but have not used it yet as I just don't seem to need it. Maybe use it this spring to shoot bears in Yellowstone as it will be easier to swivel the lens. I filled mine with packing peanuts to keep it light weight for carrying along with other camera gear.
