Allowing you to diffuse and direct ambient and artificial light sources, this Scrim Jim Cine 1/2-Stop Grid Cloth Diffuser Fabric from Westcott is compatible with 4 x 6' Scrim Jim Cine frames and features a heavy-duty touch fastener lining for quick setup and convenient portability. Constructed from nylon and silk fabrics, this diffusion does not affect the color temperature of light sources and helps to maintain natural-looking skin tones. As part of a modular system, this fabric is an ideal light control tool for a variety of both studio and on-location applications.

This grid cloth diffuser directs and softens light sources for a clean overall light quality. It is ideal for use with large main light sources and when working in bright, sunlit conditions.
Provides a 1/2 stop reduction in light output.
Touch fastener lining permits quick installation and removal from 4 x 6' Scrim Jim Cine frames.

good quality but the 6x6' has a seam

good quality. using the 6x6' grid cloth 1/2 stop diffusion version to drape over a cstand. there is a seam but for my use case, the seam is early in the fabric, maybe 6inches in, so i jus tuck that portion behind the c stand arm. packs away easily. seems durable for indoors

HI justin, Westcott has not designated this grid Cloth as "silent." it is a thin and breathable fabric. Based on how it mounts to the frame, they believe noise should be minimal.

The frame has velcro along its edges that stick to velcro along the edges of the diffuser. it is very secure.

Grid cloth diffuses the light while making it more directional versus standard diffusion which simply spreads the light as needed.
