It connects to the camera using an LP-E6 dummy battery at the end of a 24" cable and attaches to your rig via a 15mm LWS rod bracket provided on the bottom. Does not fit SmallHD 500 series monitors battery plates

I bought this to work with my SmallHD 502 monitor since it takes LP-E6 model batteries, but it simply does not fit. It's risky to put the slightest bit of force on the battery because it is very cheaply made. I figured this would be a better deal than only buying the SmallHD LP-E6 to D-Tap cord, since the items are roughly the same cost and this even comes with the gold mount plate. I didn't test this on any camera body's that take this size battery, only the monitor.
