Nikon 7650 overview

  • 1Description

Designed with specific models in mind, the Nikon Action/Action EX/Marine Series Binocular Tripod Adaptor allows you to easily mount them, or any other binocular with a 1/4"-20 threaded socket, onto a photo/video/field tripod for hands-free use. The configuration of the adapter makes it ideal for Porro prism models, with a large knob for easy installation and removal. The base of the adapter has a 1/4"-20 mount to be compatible with a wide variety of support systems including tripods, monopods, and window mounts. Using your binoculars, especially high-power ones or those with large objective lenses, helps to steady the view, reduce vibrations, and eliminate arm fatigue.

Nikon 7650 reviews

Action/Action EX/Marine Series Binocular Tripod Adaptor is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fairly inexpensive, necessary accessory Not really much to review here. -It is solid metal. -If you have binoculars with a magnification of about 10x or higher, this is necessary for stabilizing the view. -This is great for either a tripod or monopod. I believe this product fully unleashes the potential of high powered binoculars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SOLID TRIPOD ADAPTER Purchased this for use on my Celestron 70mm Binoculars which had come with a cheap plastic one that's pretty much useless. This one screws on perfectly and holds a god steady image while doing astronomical observations. Buy it-you won't be disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid but make sure it's tall enough for your needs This adapter is well made, screws to the binocular securely and being short is plenty strong. The only caveat is that it won't allow use of the minimum IPD of my binoculars as they hit the Manfrotto 200PL quick release plate and 460mg head combo that I use before minimum IPD is reached. Binoculars are Nikon 8x40 SP WP and yes, even at 8x, it's sometimes nice to have the bins on a tripod to keep them truly steady, eg for stargazing. I'd say that for most adults this will not be a problem, but young children might require the minimum IPD and this adapter might not allow that. Your mileage will vary depending on your tripod head. Consider Nikon's adapter for their Monarch line of binoculars or another taller adapter if in doubt. Plenty of choice here on the B+H site.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good product My binocular is a Nikon Action 12x50, so I was very pleased that there is a tripod adaptor specifically designed for it. It is very sturdy and does the job very well. If my tripod is not robust enough, or if I'm trying to view an object in the sky directly overhead, the problems are not of the adaptor. It is excellent for terrestrial use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish I knew about this sooner I wanted to show my 5-year old son the night sky, and he can't aim handheld binoculars. After finding this little attachment, I easily mounted my Action EX binoculars onto my camera tripod, and now my son can see the moon, the planets, and the stars after I position the binoculars for him. I'm very happy to have found this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What can I say? It works I attached this to my Nikon binocs (Action Series) and then to my tripod. It holds them firmly in place. It does exactly what I would expect and appears to be built well enough it will outlast the binocs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for the Job The design is simple and elegant. The product supports my binos and quickly dissipates movement from making adjustments or if I accidently bump my binoculars within a couple of seconds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product I am using this on a DIY project that I found on the internet for a DIY panoramic head. I needed a way to take vertical photos and this works perfectly with my Canon SLR.
