The Panasonic AJ-WM50P Wireless System uses Wi-Fi to allow wireless metadata input/display and proxy playback on iPads, iPhones, and PCs. Using the AJ-SFU3100 software, the wireless system can be paired with a camera to allow smooth transfer of important camera information between the camera and your Wi-Fi device. Featured text memo input and thumbnail display enables the script supervisor to instantly record notes and tag clips enabling fast editing process. The WM-50 wireless system is compatible with the AJ-HPX3100, AJ-PX270, AJ-PX800, AJ-PX380, AJ-PG50, AG-DVX200.

No, you do not need the AJ-SFU3100 Software. That software is just used to enable the wireless LAN option for the AJ-HPX3100G P2 Camcorder.

How many AG-CX350 devices can it handle on one notebook? OR,can it be loaded onto a laptop, which is whre everything ends up anyway?
According to Panasonic Support, the module attaches to the camera and is 1 per camera. Additionally, plugging the AW-RM50 into a laptop will not do anything. All it does (when connected to an AG-CX350) is add wireless connectivity if the laptop itself can connect to a network wirelessly. The camera isn't controllable from a computer.

No. This has nothing to do with streaming. This module allows you to remotely control various aspects of the camera when used in conjunction with the app for an iPad.
