AG-UX90 - specific use

I hoped to use this to access proxy res clips (iPad) during shooting/production. I was successful getting the WM50P and an iPad connected (AG ROP App) to my AG-UX90 camera. It did take more time than anticipated to get set up. Conflicting information led to extra efforts in finding the right programming to get them connected. The wifi dongle did work and connected my 2 devices, which meant I could remotely control the camera from the iPad. Unfortunately, the UX90 does not support Dual Codec recording (another bit of misinformation out there)... so, this was not a viable solution for my needs and was returned. AG-UX180 provides a Dual Codec workflow not the UX90.

Received during the time I was away. Have tried with my new Panasonic AG-dvx200 camera and works very well. I ordered through this company as I was unable to procure in NZ. Rob

No, you do not need the AJ-SFU3100 Software. That software is just used to enable the wireless LAN option for the AJ-HPX3100G P2 Camcorder.

How many AG-CX350 devices can it handle on one ...

How many AG-CX350 devices can it handle on one notebook? OR,can it be loaded onto a laptop, which is whre everything ends up anyway?

According to Panasonic Support, the module attaches to the camera and is 1 per camera. Additionally, plugging the AW-RM50 into a laptop will not do anything. All it does (when connected to an AG-CX350) is add wireless connectivity if the laptop itself can connect to a network wirelessly. The camera isn't controllable from a computer.

The software for using the Panasonic AJ-WM50P Dual-Band Wireless Module on the Panasonic CX350 on IOS and Android is CX ROP. For PC and Mac, there is more than one program and the downloads for them can be located at: https://pro-av.panasonic.net/en/software/

No. This has nothing to do with streaming. This module allows you to remotely control various aspects of the camera when used in conjunction with the app for an iPad.
