Designed to provide mid-size IT organizations with the power of Enterprise-level duplication and sanitization stations via its 8" color touchscreen interface, the Image MASSter 4000PRO X2 Hard Drive Duplicator/Eraser from ICS is offered with a cable-free drive caddy which can accommodate up to eight 2.5" and 1.8" drives. It can operate at speeds ranging from 7-18 GB per minute and features native support for up to eight SAS and SATA drives, while also offering one dedicated SATA drive port, one USB 3.0 port, five USB 2.0 ports, one eSATA port, and a Gigabit Ethernet port. It is also able to support other drive interfaces through the use of optional adapters, such IDE drives, microSATA, eSATA, 2.5", 1.8" IDE notebook drives, ZIF drives, and flash media. The multi-session capabilities built into this device allow multiple source drives to be simultaneously copied, or multiple operations to be run simultaneously, with support for the simultaneous duplication of up to four source drives, or the simultaneous wiping of up to eight drives.

For those who need to further customize this unit for additional drive and peripheral support, a separately sold 8-Port Add-On Module is available with either 3.5" or 2.5" interfaces that allow for compatibility with not only SCSI and FireWire drives, but also PCIe card readers that support Wi-Fi, SATA, FireWire, USB flash media storage, and 10 Gigabit Ethernet cards. When the unit's integrated Gigabit Ethernet port is connected to your network, users can remotely control and monitor anywhere from one to multiple units that are also connected to the network. When using a 10 GbE card, network transfer speeds are able to operate at speeds up to 4 GB per minute.

Available copy modes for the Image MASSter 4000PRO X2 include IQ Copy, which only copies specifically allocated data, Percent Copy, which creates a mirror image of a "source" drive to a "target" drive, MultiMASSter, which supports storing one or more multiple "source" images on a single "target" drive in the segmented file format, and VHD Capture, which supports storing one or more "source" drive images on a single "target" drive using the VHD file format. Available sanitization modes for the Image MASSter 4000PRO X2 include WipeOut, which meets U.S. Department of Defense specifications for wiping data and Secure Erase, which uses the Secure Erase feature built into many of today's drives, and other user-defined options.

General Features

Processing Power
The Image MASSter 4000PRO X2 comes standard with a powerful Intel Core i7 CPU and is designed to support today's high performance drives, as well as future hard drive speed improvements through its 6 Gb/s SAS controller technology. It supports advanced duplication and sanitization technology that can perform multiple operations simultaneously, wiping drives at speeds exceeding 7 GB per minute with a potential of exceeding 18 GB per minute.
Hard Drive Support
Native support is offered for SAS, SATA, USB 3.0, and USB 2.0 drives. Separately sold adapters are available to support IDE, micro SATA, eSATA, 2.5", 1.8" IDE, ZIF, and flash media drives. The unit also offers an internal PCIe expansion port which can be used to expand the unit's capability to support additional drive interfaces such as SCSI and FireWire.
Cable-Free Drive Caddies
The unit offers a cable-free drive insertion solution.
Compact Size
The unit's small footprint design helps saves work space.
Versatile "Source" Drive Ports
A flexible design allows any port to be configured as the "Source" port.
Multi-Session Capability
Copy multiple "Source" drives simultaneously or run multiple operations simultaneously. Multi-Session supports duplicating up to four "Source" drives simultaneously, or the copying and sanitizing of drives at the same time. Units equipped with the 8-Port Add-on Module can support the duplication of up to eight source drives simultaneously.
Available Drive Caddy Options
This unit is offered with a 2.5"/1.8" cable-free drive caddy that supports the cable-free insertion of eight 2.5"/1.8" SATA/SAS drives. The cable-free caddies are designed with replaceable and low cost SATA/SAS interface boards.
Eight Port Add-On Module
The Image MASSter 4000PRO X2 SAS is designed with built-in support for connecting an optional 8-Port Extension Module, providing the capability to copy and wipe up to 16 drives simultaneously. This module can be purchased with either a 3.5" or 2.5" drive caddy.
Multiple Interface Ports
The Image MASSter 4000PRO X2 offers eight native SATA/SAS Drive ports, one dedicated SATA drive port, five USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0 port, one eSATA port, and a Gigabit Ethernet port. Additionally, it is designed with one to two available internal PCIe motherboard expansion slots, each of which can be used to expand the unit's capability to support additional drive interfaces. Additionally, one of the two available PCIe slots may also be used to support the 8-port expansion controller card.
Multiple Modes of Operation
IQ Copy: Used to copy specifically allocated data from "Source" drives configured with Windows, helping to reduce the time required to copy data. IQ Copy supports partition scaling, allowing for the duplication of smaller capacity drives to larger capacity drives.

Percent of Copy:
Used to copy a "Source" drive's allocated data and unallocated data, creating a "mirror" image of the drive. This copy mode is OS and file system independent.

MultiMASSter:
Supports storing one or multiple "Source" drive images on a single "Target" drive using the Segmented File Format. The format copies both allocated and unallocated data.

VHD Capture:
Supports storing one or multiple "Source" drive images on a single "Target" drive using the VHD File Format. The format copies only allocated data.

WipeOut: WipeOut DoD is designed to meet the U.S. Department of Defense specification DOD 5220-22M regarding the sanitization of hard disk drive data.

Secure Erase: Erase data using the Secure Erase feature supported by many of today's modern drives.

Linux IQ Copy: This optional mode provides IQ Copy support for Linux Extended 2 (EXT2), Extended 3 (EXT 3), and Extended 4 (EXT 4) file systems. It is available as an add-on purchase.
Multiple Hash Verifications
The Image MASSter 4000PRO X2 SAS supports SHA-1 and SHA-2 hardware-accelerated hashing and software-based MD-5 hashing.
External Storage
Images can be stored externally to a Shared Network folder, an eSATA drive, or a USB drive.
Upload and Download Images to Network Storage
Images files can be uploaded and downloaded to a network storage, such as a SAN, allowing the user to take advantage of large storage platforms for the purpose of processing and archiving images. With the use of the Optional 10 Gigabit Ethernet card, units can copy and upload at speeds exceeding 4 GB per minute.
Optional IDE Drive Caddies
IDE drive caddies are available for 2.5"/1.8" and 3.5" IDE drives. The IDE drive caddies require the use of PATA Data and power cables.
Optional PCIe Controller Cards
SCSI, FireWire, PCIe card readers (pluggable adapters such as Wi-Fi, SATA, FireWire, USB, and flash media memory), and 10 Gigabit Ethernet cards (this option can only be plugged into the PCIe slot on the mother board).
"On the Fly" Drive Image Encryption*
Utilizing built-in AES 256-bit encryption technology, the Image MASSter 4000PRO X2 SAS encrypts digital data with minimal speed degradation during the cloning process for the purpose of safe guarding sensitive information. The Image MASSter 4000PRO X2 SAS creates a secure key with a user-chosen pass phrase. An AES 256-bit encryption key is then generated by the Image MASSter 4000PRO X2 SAS and can be saved to almost any USB thumb drive. The encrypted drive can be decrypted on the fly utilizing the Image MASSter 4000PRO X2 SAS or a regular PC loaded with ICS' free decryption utility and the USB thumb drive containing the saved key. User can then safely image the decrypted data to an additional target drive.

This process is NOT compatible with the DiskCypher product line.
Convenient and Easy Upgrades
Free software updates are periodically provided and may be updated through the USB port.
Logging
The unit records and saves detailed log information.
8" Full Color Touchscreen
A built-in touchscreen eliminates the need of connecting an external monitor, mouse, or keyboard.
