It would work with a smallrig cage, it may be a bit unwieldly and heavy for a wrist strap but it would work.

Will the BlackRapid Breathe wrist strap cause marring or paint damage to the bottom of a DSLR? The caribiner is metal so can this damage the camera finish if the strap is left attached while in a holster or backpack?
