The Wrist Camera Strap with FR-5 FastenR from BlackRapid is a nylon wrist strap with a carabiner and a D-ring with a 1/4"-20 screw. The FR-5 D-ring allows you to directly attach your camera to the strap. A plastic carabiner protector is included with the wrist strap to prevent the carabiner from accidentally unlocking or from scratching your camera.

One of these, coupled with a Kirk QD swivel-D, is attached to every camera.
I use pac safe camera straps that are slash proof but wanted something for a Latin America trip that kept my camera safer and tighter to the body or in hand. I thought the strap may interfere being attached to the bottom but the strap allows the camera to be well balanced. The strap is also very comfortable. All non strap pieces are metal, and the locking mechanism is well designed and very functional. I am happy with my purchase.
