    Yongnuo YN-300III reviews

    300-III LED Variable-Color On-Camera Light is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good cheap light option These are incredibly bright. I measure just around two stops of additional exposure when the light is maxed out. It actually has a decent amount of features as well. The color balance is a little bit off (it's shy of it's full daylight output color by a few hundred degrees) but with some diffusion it can make a great portable soft source for hard-to light areas or a nice kicker or highlight. It's also really small so it+a small big of diffusion+a clip can fit into the corner of a camera case or bag pretty easily for run and gun projects The only concern is that it is rather cheap and flimsy so I don't know how long it will last, but in this price range that better be an expectation.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So-So Unlike some other bicolor led lights, this one requires you to dial in the specific amount of blue or orange you want, so instead of turning 1 dial to go between tungsten and daylight, I have to play around with 2. Also it was not as bright as I expected, but that is usually the deal with bi-color since alternate rows of lights are daylight OR tungsten. I think the quality of the light and color was good. I wish barn doors could be easily flipped, like pull it off to use the black side for actual light shaping. As they are now with the silver side the doors are meant more for reflecting and thereby strengthening the light forward.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from NO BATTERIES INCLUDED BE AWARE that you will need to research and purchase batteries and chargers for this kit. You get nothing but the light. It will cost you another $54 for the batteries and related.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of light, control and portability to shoot anywhere. I actually love this product. It is easy to use, comes with diffuser and you can control the amount of light. But, what I love the most is it is battery operated take it anywhere. It puts out a lot of light. The only thing I would change, would be to add an adapter that allows you to attach it to a light stand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice product. I am satisfied I used it for video recording of a public event. The recording was so excellent when previewed. Before that I was not using any light for similar situations and getting not an appreciable recordings. Very good product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Good This is a decent on camera light. I really like the fact that it has barn doors as that allows better control of the direction and spill. However, watch your distance to subject as the lumens decrease significantly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice light This light works well, but doesn't put out as much light as I thought it would. The AC power supply that is available separately eliminates the need for batteries.
