Looks great. Fits perfectly

Perfect fit, hidden advantage.

I purchased the LensCoat for obvious reasons, to camouflage the lens when pho graphing birds. The hidden advantage is the LensCoat protects the lens by insulting it from the hot desert sun. The lens also feels more comfortable in my hands with the LensCoat on it. Easy to apply and fits well.

Pricy

its a ok fit, it will kind of slide off left or right and even folded on the edge where the hood is. I think its kind of pricy for something like this.

Great product

I recently sold a lens that had been protected by LensCoat for nearly the price originally paid - a tribute to how well LensCoat protected the lens. The lens remained in "like new" condition for the new buyer. For that reason alone, LensCoat is worth the investment. My new LensCoat purchase was for a Canon 600mm f/4 ISII lens. As always, it was a tight fit - but a good fit for the lens. The LensCoat does not have any accommodation for the 52mm drop in filter mount. This is okay, as you can fairly easily pull the LensCoat back to expose the filtermount - and in fact, the LensCoat will help keep dust out of the filtermount. The original Canon Lens Cap DOES fit over the LensCoat - though it is a bit of a tight fit.

Protecting Big Glass

I put a LensCoat on my Canon 100-400mm and my new 600mm originally for camouflaging, but an added benefit is to protect them against minor bumps and scratches. These lenses are expensive and a minor accident could cause catastrophic results, so I look at a LensCoat as insurance. They'e easy to install and stay in place.

Might be useable for some people--not for me.

I am only using a few pieces of the neoprene. Most of the lens is covered with self-adhesive vinyl with a similar camo pattern. The vinyl is way better/cheaper than the LensCoat for me. This cover might work for some people, but not really for me.

Can't be better built than that

Tape as a Lencoat

I would have given this a higher rating except for they don't give you cloth to cover the lens foot collar instead they give you tape which cheapens an overall quality lens cover. I saw photo's of older LensCoat which they provide you all cloth for all the parts not just tape. If I'm missing something let me know otherwise tape is a disappointment.

question

Are there 5 or 6 camo pieces with this package?
Asked by: Todd
A total of 6. 5 are pull over sections while the sixth piece that goes around the mounting foot gets stuck on, its self adhesive.
