LensCoat LC6002 Reviews

Solid product, small flaws

Solid product that has done as expected to protect against bumps and scratches. I won't repeat details that you can read elsewhere... it goes on easily enough, there is still room in your bag to carry the lens, etc. I will give two notes of caution. 1) The strips that you stick on (see the attached photo), can pull away. I took this photo within minutes of applying the strip, so this is not wear-and-tear. I figure that, because you cut the strip to fit, that can free the adhesive surface from the padding - there was no problem on the non-cut end. But, a little gorilla glue, and it is resolved. I trust that it'll come off in time, as I glued the padding to the adhesive strip, not the lens. 2) If you use a drop-in polarizing filter, the sleeve covers the dial. Again, a knife and a steady hand and I solved the problem (it just looks a little rough), but be aware that you will have to make some adjustments. So, overall a solid product, but a few small missteps.

Tape as a Lencoat

I would have given this a higher rating except for they don't give you cloth to cover the lens foot collar instead they give you tape which cheapens an overall quality lens cover. I saw photo's of older LensCoat which they provide you all cloth for all the parts not just tape. If I'm missing something let me know otherwise tape is a disappointment.

question

Are there 5 or 6 camo pieces with this package?
Asked by: Todd
A total of 6. 5 are pull over sections while the sixth piece that goes around the mounting foot gets stuck on, its self adhesive.
