When the legs are folded (and no ball head, what ...

When the legs are folded (and no ball head, what is the circumference at the fattest point? I'm trying to compare it to the same measurement for the GIGT1545T so I have a feel for how much room it will take up in my travel bag. Thanks.
Asked by: Mark
Its widest point is the top of the first twist lock, roughly a width (lock to lock, like an equilateral triangle) of 106.13mm using my calipers. Calculating for outer linear dimensions, that makes it 318.39mm / 12.5". If considering its diameter, it's 96.79mm at the same closest lateral point, which puts its circumference at roughly 304.07mm / 11.97".

How does the GIGT2545T differ from the GT2545T? Only difference I can see is the GT2545T comes with a ball head.
Asked by: Charles
That is a tech question that should be directed to a Gitzo representative. I only purchased a Traveller 2 with a large video head for birding. Mine works fine, but beware the rubber feet can come unscrewed on their own and become lost with no warning. Applying some lock tight would prevent this.

Hi staff pros n my friends What video head would be the best fit for this GIGT2545T tripod? I purchased this n bh-40 ball head last month now I’m looking for a video head. Thank you!

The Manfrotto 608 Nitrotech Fluid Video Head, BH # MAMVH608AHUS would be an excellent choice for a video head. https://bhpho.to/36ZCCvR

Is this travel tripod solid/stiff enough for sharp images with a Canon 100-400mm 4.5-5.6L IS II zoom? Including fairly windy conditions?
Asked by: Frank
Yes this tripod paired with a gimbal head such as the Wimberley WH-200 Gimbal Tripod Head II with Quick Release Base, BH # WITHQRQ would be plenty strong to hold a Canon EF 100-400mm II in windy conditions. https://bhpho.to/3keIdUD

Nothing really specific but we do sell a pouch to attach to a tripod. You can view it on our website by clicking the link below; https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1275994-REG/ruggard_rtc_10_attachable_tripod_case_for.html

Are there any dimension restrictions on the size of ball head that can be attached? I was looking at the Really Right Stuff BH-40 with base diameter of 2.1 inches or the BH-55 with base diameter of 2.9 inches. I'd like the legs to still be able to fold up without obstruction.
Asked by: Robert
I owuld recommend the BH40 head, it is a more appropriate size for the Gitzo tripod.
