Developed for aerial photography applications, the black ultralight version of the Laowa 7.5mm f/2 MFT is a super-wide rectilinear lens for Micro Four Thirds Cameras. Compared to the standard version of this lens, this reduced-weight edition is 20g lighter, making it well-suited for use with drones and gimbals. Aside from its lightweight design, the wide focal length and bright f/2 maximum aperture are also ideal for astrophotography applications, and its optical design incorporates two aspherical elements and three extra-low dispersion elements to control distortion and aberrations for improved clarity and sharpness. A Frog Eye Coating has also been applied to the front element to guard against water and dust, and the lens's manual focus design permits working with subjects as close 4.7" away.

Venus Optics Laowa 7.5mm f/2 Reviews
Solid Choice
I've just purchased and am trying to get on with this lens. Being manual focus and aperture selection, you can not be in a hurry. But if you have time to setup your shot you can get great results. On my Olympus EM 10 Mark II I setup x10 magnification to my F2 button. Makes it easy to activate and stay close to the shutter button. I move the green area select box to my point of interest, hit F2 again and get 10x mag to aid in focus. Hit F2 again to deactivate magnify. I have tried to get focus peaking working but I'm guessing no electronics in the lens prohibits that. I will test later with my Panasonic G95. No photos worth uploading yet, as I said I just got the lens recently. I'm not sure if I can add to or modify this review later, but will if I can figure it out.
Laowa 7.5mmF2 M4/3
Great lens with great optics, even at F2. Looks like toy lens even on M4/3 body but makes it nice to transport. M Focus doesn't bother me as I have done this for many years with MF and 35mm Nikon film lenses. AND don't forget great service from B&H.
