Benro TSL08CN00 Tripod with Ball Head Overview

This TSL08CN00 Slim Tripod from Benro is constructed from carbon fiber to minimize weight, supports up to 8.8 lb, and includes an Arca-type ball head with quick release plate. Designed to conserve space during storage and transport, the tripod measures 20.1" long and 3.2" wide when folded. Its 4-section legs each feature an independent spread, a 3-position angle lock, half-turn twist locks for rapid deployment, and a rubber foot to enhance stability on a wide variety of surfaces. Together, the three legs can be extended and spread to raise the tripod from a minimum height of 15.7" to a maximum height of 48.4" or 57.6" with its push-and-pull, rapid center column fully raised.

Cameras, lenses, or sport optics that are compatible with a 1/4"-20 mount can be connected to the included quick release plate. The quick release plate can be attached or removed from the integrated, Arca-type clamp located at the top of the head's ball-and-socket joint by tightening or loosening the clamp's knurled, locking knob. While the top of the quick release plate features a rubberized, non-slip platform, dual retaining screws are provided along its underside. Those retaining screws help prevent the quick release plate and an attached camera from accidentally sliding off when the clamp it is placed on is opened.

By loosening the ball head's primary locking knob, the head's ball-and-socket joint can be quickly swiveled, angled, fully tilted, or returned to its upright position. Additionally, the primary locking knob controls the ability to pan the head 360°. For added versatility, the tripod's center column is reversible, facilitating low-angle photography where an attached camera is positioned among the tripod's legs instead of above them.

A nylon, drawstring bag is provided for storage and transport.

Is the a light weight gimbal head that I can use with this tripod? I use a micro four thirds set up.
Asked by: Felita
The Benro TSL08CN00 Slim Carbon-Fiber Tripod with Ball Head only supports 8.8 pounds so it would not be recommended for use with a gimbal head.

question

I'm looking to change ball heads, any idea what size I need?
Asked by: Serena D.
Take your camera and largest lens, find the weight together. Then start searching based on ball heads that will support that weight. Should give you an idea of whats available. Keep in mind this is a travel tripod so smaller is better and quality is most important.

question

will this carry heavy dslrs? also is this durable for like mud wind snow rain hail lakes intense rivers and hiking? thanks
Asked by: Top of the Hill Films G.
This Benro Slim tripod is rated at a maximum load capacity of 8.8 lb and will hold whatever cameras, lenses, flashes, etc. that you have below that weight limit. Because it is also a slim carbon-fiber tripod it is not very stabilized in heavy wind, snow, rain, hail, rivers etc. Take a look at B&H # BETAD28CB2 as an alternative.

question

Is there a short center column available for this tripod? Thanks!
Asked by: Isak A.
There is a center column that you can bring up and lock into place - its probably about 8-12 inches if my memory serves correctly - were very happy with this product - it was recommended to us by a friend who is a professional photographer

Is the included ball head the same as the Benro IN00 ball head?

It has the N00 ball head, which is similar but not exactly the same as the IN00. Works just fine on mine.
