This strong and secure strap holds up to 200 pounds of gear and easily supports most of the heaviest pro DSLRs and binoculars.
Upgraded Peak Design Quality
Designed to improve its 2018 version, this strap has been upgraded with even greater security, a lower profile, and high-quality materials.
  • Revamped anchors connectors attach to the eyelets of your camera or the included mounting plate.
  • Made from an ultrasmooth nylon webbing with a tighter and more durable weave, the Slide is internally padded to always ensure comfortable use.
3 Straps in 1
The Slide is 1.8" wide and can be configured to work as a sling, shoulder, or neck strap.
  • One side of the strap is smooth for sliding the camera to your eye when set up as a sling and the other side has an effective silicone grip to prevent it from slipping from your neck or shoulder.
  • The four included anchor points attach and detach from the strap with a single hand and can be left on the eyelets so you can easily switch between cameras while shooting.

Peak Design SL-AS-3 Reviews

The camera strap I have been searching for

A YouTube video presenter for a UK camera company was reviewing the Black Magic BMPCC4K camera and I noticed that he was using this strap. I was a little concerned that the little round connecters would not be able to handle the weight of the camera but if the presenter had faith in this strap then I felt it was worth some serious consideration. My strap arrived yesterday and is now securely attached to my BMPCC4K camera. I am very impressed with the quality of the strap, the operation of the buckles and of course, the little round connectors. I can see that a lot of time and effort went into the design and manufacture. This is also very apparent with the product presentation box.

Almost perfect

I installed the strap on a D850 which took about 5 minutes. The strap is comfortable, long enough and it has the best strap length adjusters I have ever seen. It is easy to connect and disconnect from the camera. Two opportunities for improvement: 1. Shorten or redesign the part that mounts on the camera strap hooks so that it not so long. It kind of gets in the way when not using the strap. 2. Reduce the width of the strap to match the original Nikon strap width for about 6 near each end. This would allow the use of strap mounted accessories that fit the Nikon stock straps. (like extra memory card holders)

Great camera strap

I like the design advancement from the original I got on kickstarter wayyy back. My only comment is that the reinforced portion of the strap is difficult to fit into a small (single small lens + DSLR body) without significantly forcing the reinforced part into a bend. One thought was if the reinforced section had a small separation in the center this would make it much easier to fold into a smaller camera case, Other than this small thought the Slide is perfect!

Intrusive

I wanted this strap to work - I love the concept for the anchors as I want to be able to remove the strap quickly when I'm using a tripod. Unfortunately, I find the strap itself to be a hassle. It's just always in the way. It's loose loops through the buckles, and large quantity of material mean it's always twisted, or caught on the camera itself. Rather than providing security, it feels like a liability in my camera handling. My solution is to just purchase the Peak Design anchors and use them on a Domke strap. Best of both worlds?

Worth the Upgrade

I had always only used the strap that shipped with my camera, and that did function. I really appreciate the quick release functionality so I don't have to keep the strap affixed all of the time. The strap feels very well made, and it is a bit longer. One one side there is silicone grip, and the other is the strap fabric, so you can easily turn over the strap if you need it to stick, or put it back for when you don't. I appreciate the length so I can wear it like a sling instead of just around my neck.

Outstanding versatile camera strap

I received the slide as a gift and I have found it to be the best strap I have ever owned. It is strange, comfortable. Very easy to adjust, easy to remove when mounting a camera on a tripod, and very easy to switch from one body to another. You really only need one and to can put anchors on all your bodies and quickly switch. The anchors are unobtrusive and can operate with one hand. You will never regret buying one.

After seeing so many people using it online, had to search where to get one. I use a gimbal and a tripod often, and so needed something that I could easily detach from my camera. This works great! been loving it

Gosh - I am in absolute love! I have always been a dual harness girl, mainly because I am a plus size human. But literally this one is perfect, easily adjustable and I can wear it multiple ways without restraints. I can't recommend it more!

Question about the little connector slider plates: how sturdy are the strings? Can these be easily cut? I know the carry weight is substantial.. I'm thinking in terms of theft. Thanks!
Asked by: Jessica-Mae
The strings are sturdy BUT they can be cut easily. This strap holds a lot of weight but it is not slated as an anit theft strap.

I'm ordering the Slide Strap and I'm debating between the 1.3" or 1.8" version. I have a D750 and a D7000. My largest lens is a 150-600mm, but I mostly shoot with a 24-120mm and a series of small prime lenses. Any thoughts on which width would be more comfortable?
Asked by: Fred
Given your gear, I would recommend the 1.8" strap.

I have a Contax T2, Would this fit it?
Asked by: Esmeralda
The Contax T2 35mm Film Camera only has one strap connector, as it is a small point-and-shoot camera. It was not designed for use with neck straps. A better solution for your usage needs would be to purchase either the Peak Design Cuff Camera Wrist Strap (Black), B&H # PECFBL3, or the OP/TECH USA Cam Strap-QD (Black), B&H # OPSCQDB, for your usage needs. If you do wish to use the Peak Design SL-BK-3 Slide Camera Strap (Black), B&H # PESLBK3, you would have to connect the anchor connector for both strap ends onto the same strap connector on the camera. As I do not know if there is enough room on the strap connector for two anchor connectors, and as the camera has been discontinued and is no longer avaialble, you would just have to try it to see if it works; we have no way of testing this without the camera. If it does not work, we do have a 30-Day Return Policy so you may return the strap for an exchange or a refund.

How good comfortable is this for heavy gear (like D850 and 200-500)? The padding doesn't look all that substantial. Also, how does it attach to a tripod foot? Would I attach two connectors to the foot?
