General Features
Manageability
  • Warns when a battery is not available to provide backup power.
  • Use your Windows computer to access additional power protection and management features for your UPS via a USB port.
  • Provides key UPS status at a glance. Multiple status indicators with load and battery bar graphs.
  • Provides notification of changing utility power and UPS power conditions.
Safety
  • Ensures the product has been tested and approved to work safely with the connected service provider equipment and within the specified environment.
Availability
  • Maximizes battery performance, life, and reliability through intelligent precision charging.
  • Toggle between pre-determined voltage-transfer points depending on your power quality (high, medium or low sensitivity), maximizing useful battery life and protecting sensitive electronics.
  • Provides early-warning fault analysis on batteries enabling timely preventive maintenance.
  • Provides temporary battery power when the utility power is out.
  • Periodic battery self-test ensures early detection of a battery that needs to be replaced.
  • Protect equipment with input transformer blocks without blocking access to other receptacles.
  • Gives higher application availability by correcting low and high voltage conditions without using the battery (not available on all models).
  • Energy saving feature automatically power off peripherals when the master device, usually a Windows computer, hibernates or is shut down. Power to peripherals is immediately restored when the master device wakes up or is switched on.
  • Adjust the voltage points (widen or tighten the range) where your UPS transfers to battery to maximize useful battery life and protect sensitive electronics.
  • Patent-pending operating mode that bypasses unused electrical components in good power conditions to achieve very high operating efficiency without sacrificing any protection.
Serviceability
  • Increases UPS availability by allowing quick, easy battery replacement.
  • Easy recovery from overloads; no need to replace a fuse.
Protection
  • Protect secondary electronics from surges, and spikes without reducing battery power used to run primary electronics during an outage.
  • Provides protection of connected equipment from power surges on the data lines.
  • Back up and protect your hardware and data during power outages, surges and spikes.
Additional Features
  • Reserves power capacity and runtime for connected equipment that require UPS battery back-up while providing surge-only protection for less critical equipment.
  • Preserves battery life and maximizes runtime by correcting low voltages without discharging the battery.

APC BR1350MS Reviews

Excellent product, better vendor

APC makes great products in general, and this is no exception. Not much else to add there. B&H is a fantastic vendor! I've been dealing with them off and on (as my needs have come and gone) for decades, at different companies, and pricing has consistently been great and dealing with them has consistently been a pleasure.

Fantastic Home/Office UPS

I purchased several of these UPSs for my home office and networking equipment. It has been a great addition. My home has poor quality power which affects my computer and sound system. After adding the UPS, I have had no issues. Additionally, the LCD screen allows me to quickly and easily check the UPS status, run time, and power input/output analytics. It has allowed me to work through several small power outages and kept me from losing internet connection. My oldest one is going on 5 years on the original battery without a single issue. I could not recommend this UPS highly enough.

How does this device like incoming THD? I have a backup generator that outputs a fairly high THD (around 15-20%). Would this APC be able to convert such an 'impure' current into a steady sine wave safe for my computers?
Asked by: Patrick Anders
It would not do well with that high of a percentage of THD.

This device works as voltage regulator. But all over the internet the informations says that it is not good for high end computers. Can the voltage regulator feature be disarmed?
Asked by: Marco
What kind of high end computer are you trying to protect? The model selected is a Sinewave AVR that can work with the most delicate of electronics. Higher end computers will have better built power supplies that may not require Sinewave AVR. No you cannot disable the voltage regulator? Voltage regulation is a default function of a UPS as voltage drops it kicks into battery mode for as long as it can maintain voltage and during surges it decapitates extra voltage to ground.
