How does this device like incoming THD? I have a backup generator that outputs a fairly high THD (around 15-20%). Would this APC be able to convert such an 'impure' current into a steady sine wave safe for my computers?
Asked by: Patrick
It would not do well with that high of a percentage of THD.

This device works as voltage regulator. But all over the internet the informations says that it is not good for high end computers. Can the voltage regulator feature be disarmed?
Asked by: Marco
What kind of high end computer are you trying to protect? The model selected is a Sinewave AVR that can work with the most delicate of electronics. Higher end computers will have better built power supplies that may not require Sinewave AVR. No you cannot disable the voltage regulator? Voltage regulation is a default function of a UPS as voltage drops it kicks into battery mode for as long as it can maintain voltage and during surges it decapitates extra voltage to ground.
