Haida NanoPro MC ND Filter (77mm, 12-Stop)
Key Features
  • 3.6 Optical Density
  • Multicoated Nano Coating
  • Optical Glass Construction
  • Thin, Aluminum-Alloy Filter Ring
This 77mm NanoPro MC ND Filter from Haida provides a 12-stop exposure reduction. Its 3.6 optical density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed without overexposing your image. By slowing your exposure time, you can create motion blur for special effects or to convey a sense of movement. Opening your iris allows you to create shallow depth of field, which can help isolate your subject. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

question

Why is this filter Red?
Asked by: Howie
The filters are coated on both side and at certain angles, the filter surfaces reflect certain colors. However, the light going through the filter and the lens is not this color but a neutral one. There will be no adverse affect on your image.
