After building an extensive Minolta film system back in the 70's and 80's, when the digital age took over I got by with point and shoots and then a Nikon 1 kit. Now I have a Canon M50 and am able to use some great Minolta and Vivitar Series 1 prime lenses. Fit and finish are excellent and it does support infinity focus. My Series 1 90mm f/2.5 macro is a joy to use in aperture priority with manual focus of course. So glad I never got rid of those oldies but goodies.
