type 1 or type 2? irrelevant.

Whether to get the type 1 or type 2 version is a little confusing. FotodioX website says if lens has the aperture pin on the rear get the type 2, so I did. My Pentax Takumar lenses have an Auto/Manual aperture selector switch. This adapter ring just mashes down the pin when the lens is screwed in, which is necessary when lens switch is on Auto. The exact same result can be accomplished by just switching the lens to Manual and using a type 1 adapter. I can confirm that the adapter doesn't allow for infinity focus (as stated in product description). In fact I can't focus further than ~5-20 feet (depending on lens). So it's a good solution for up close; product photography, macro, portraits, etc. No good for street photography, architectural or landscape or general use.

Works fine

I tried on my nikon cameras but I cannot get infinity focus with my vintage lens fujijon 55mm 1.8 however works perfect when y do portraits or something that is near the camera.

Does this adapter have a correcting lens allowing the M42 lens to focus on infinity? Or the lens can focus on a pair of meters?

Unfortunately, no, the FotodioX Mount Adapter for M42 Type 2 Lens to Nikon F-Mount Camera has no optics in the adapter, and they do not claim to support infinity focus with this adapter. In most cases, FotodioX is very clear and states infinity focus when an adapter supports it.
