Lightweight and roomy, with an amazing number of compartments and pockets to stash stuff. So many, in fact, that I forget where I put things. Only drawback for mr was the zippered cover over the main compartment...seems unnecessary and tend to get in the way sometimes.

Poor construction

I purchased this product because of reviews that I had read; but I am not pleased with this bag. The upper cover flap is almost impossible to zip close or zip open. It jams and is almost impossible to operate. I am sure that Think Tank is aware of this problem by now, and I don't know why they haven't fixed it.

Great bag. The pine stone color looks good and the material is thick, tough, yet flexible. Plenty of camera protection built in. A lot of pockets, zippers and Velcro options for keys, wallets, cables, etc. The strap is thick and the padding is good. It has a hand hold carry handle as well. My iPad Pro 12.9" fits perfectly. Currently holds a Z6 + z24-200 and a couple Z primes or Z6 + z24-70 + 70-300 + z14-24 with room to spare. You could load it more than that if needed. Again, great bag.

Good bag

Just the right size for my D750 with 24-120mm lens attached, a 70-300 Nikkor, and flash. Pockets have adequate room for batteries, CPL filter, and a few other whatnots. If I have a gripe it is the VERY aggressive velcro closures that require some strength to separate, attended with plenty of noise. Taken all around it's a very good bag. I've used Think Tank bags for years and this lives up to the brand.

This bag has so many features and solutions to problems i've had in the past. I have a giant rolling bag (also Think Tank) but I'm so tired of lugging it everywhere, even to small sessions where I don't need 4 lenses and 4 flashes etc. My camera also needed a spot where I didn't have to take it apart to fit. This gives my camera a home and holds 2 more lenses and I can fit a flash and trigger. Fits a tablet or laptop as well. I love that it doesn't stick out as a camera bag specifically. The fabric is nice and seems durable although it does gather some cat hair (but what doesn't?). I love the silent velcro covers and the tuck away zippered flap and the collapsible water bottle holder! I even found a key clip in one of the pockets that I can attach my card pocket to. Their name is very fitting - Think Tank did think of everything.

I shoot gripped bodies. One body, a flash, and second lens fits fine. I bought the bag for events to carry flash, and extra lenses etc. easy to hand; for this function this bag is ideal. I used the rain cover the first time out...a feature I always appreciate with Think Tank bags.

Definite recommendation

I have purchased many camera bags including shoulder bags, backpack style and sling packs. I have been using film cameras with a couple of extra lenses and a light meter. I needed to quickly access my bag often during a walk around trip. I had problems with all other types except for this Think Tank Retrospective 10. I often go out with a different camera and lens combinations and this bag easily accommodates this change. Just large enough with room to spare but not overly large. Many have commented on how nice the bag looks. I don't write reviews but for this bag I felt like I needed to.

Will it fit a Canon 7D Mark 2 with a battery grip and Tamron 18-400mm lens attached? If so, how many other lenses could be packed as well?
Asked by: Jerry
It should be able to fit with no problem. It is able to fit my Sony A7iii with a grip on and also an a7riv without a grip with a Tamron 28-75mm and a Sony 90mm macro lenses on them respectively. Besides these, it’s also able to fit two more lenses. I normally carry a Sony 70-200mm and also an 85mm at the same time with the two camera bodies I talked about earlier. After all these, the inner compartment is able to take my 13” MacBook Pro whiles the outer compartment fits my 11” inch iPad Pro. I hardly carry the MacBook Pro and iPad Pro which always gives me some flexibility. Carrying both of them makes it a bit tight. And don’t forget you have two pockets in the front of the bag that can also carry some other accessories.

Will this fit Microsoft 12.3" Multi-Touch Surface Pro 6 ? … Thank you.
Asked by: Mahmoud
It might be a snug fit, but it looks like it may work. The Laptop/Tablet compartment dimensions for the Think Tank Photo Retrospective 10 V2.0 Shoulder Bag are listed as 11.4 x 9.1 x 1.0", while the dimensions of the Microsoft 12.3" Multi-Touch Surface Pro 6 is listed as 11.5 x 7.9 x 0.3". The length of the Surface Pro is almost exactly the length of the compartment, which may be the only issue, which is why I say it is snug. As this is a new item that has not yet been released, I would recommend purchasing the case, and if it does not work for your usage needs, we do have a 30-Day Return Policy that would allow you to return the case for an exchange or a refund (subject to the terms & conditions on our Return Policy).
