As a beginner this lens fits my immediate style and also forces you to practice composition.
I know that a typical knock on this lens is that it’s ’too perfect’ or ‘clinical’ or ‘lacks character’. All those comments are likely true. Certain situations certainly call for a ‘character lens’. However, sometimes you just want a crystal clear, razor sharp image. This thing delivers, and at pretty reasonable price, when you consider other options. Very happy to have this lens and n my kit. Sure the 1.2S is a better lens, but it’s huge and 5X the price.
