Polsen BCPM-1 Overview

The Polsen BCPM-1 is a compact and lightweight belt-clip unit that puts your personal in-ear monitoring volume control right at your fingertips. Ideal for keyboardists or drummers who stay in one spot while performing, the BCPM-1 will deliver the audio feed you need without excessive cabling or clutter.

The BCPM-1 is passive and requires no external power. Plug it in, dial in the perfect level, and you're ready to go. The convenient belt clip ensures the BCPM-1 won't be in the way while you play. It features a combo input jack that accepts either XLR or 1/4" connectors, and the locking XLR connector guards against accidental disconnects on stage or in the studio. This road-worthy personal monitor amplifier is constructed with a durable metal chassis that can take the bumps and impacts of travel and stage performance.

Volume Control
If you're sitting behind a keyboard or drum kit, changing the monitoring volume in your headphones is trickier than it sounds. If you can't walk over to the headphone amp or give the "more volume" sign to the sound engineer, the BCPM-1 is for you. It puts a volume knob right at your belt, so you can dial in the perfect monitor level any time you need it.
Combo Input Jack
Because monitoring is so critical to your performance, the XLR jack features a locking mechanism to prevent the connector from accidentally disconnecting—like if there's a little tug, or even if someone trips over your cable. When you're done, just press the locking tab to disconnect. Not using an XLR cable? No problem. The BCPM-1's combo jack accepts 1/4" connectors, too.
Headphone Jack
Use your favorite studio or monitoring headphones, earbuds, or in-ear monitors. The standard stereo 1/8" (3.5mm) headphone jack accepts them all.
Compact and Durable
Thanks to the BCPM-1's compact and lightweight design, you'll forget it's there until you need to adjust your volume. The monitor is made with a sturdy metal chassis that can take the bumps of travel and live stage performance.

The Polsen BCPM-1 Passive Belt Clip Personal In-Ear Monitor Amplifier does not have Bluetooth built-in but if you have Bluetooth headphones, you can use a separate Bluetooth transmitter like the Aluratek ABT01F Bluetooth Universal Audio Transmitter (B&amp;H # ALABT01F) to enable compatibility with Bluetooth headphones.

Do you need to use a headphone amp w/ this? Or does it require phantom power?

This is a passive headphone amplifer, meaning it does not require power. Connect a cable from a monitor output of a mixing board to this device, and you can attach headphones or in-ear monitors to recieve a personal mix. The unit also has headphone volume control.
