How sensitive is this microphone? I need to be able to use this in a church service in which I need to pick up audio from as far away as 20 feet from where the microphone-not ideal, but we're trying to avoid using more than two mics. If these can be made to be omnidirectional, that would be great.

The microphone in the Samson XPD2 Handheld USB Digital Wireless Microphone System is designed to capture vocal signals with the source close to the capsule - preferably around an inch away. A handheld microphone, and most microphones for that matter, will not pick up a quality signal from a distance of twenty feet. In the scenario described, a second microphone close to the second source will provide more ideal results and sound capture.

I am a beginner who does interviews which beginner camera to record video would work great with this microphone? Or is it best to just re order from phone and which iPhone is suitable?
Asked by: Saeeda
This can work with a camcorder if you connect a 3.5 mm cable from the line out in the USB receiver and connect the other end of the cable to the camcorders mic input. you do need to provide USB power the receiver to function. Or you can plug in the USB receiver to a computer record the audio separately and align it later when editing the video ( harder but gets you better audio and less white noise in the background)

Can I use this mic on my iPhone X for recording videos, and what type of usb cable I need to buy to connect on my iPhone X
Asked by: Ram
Hello, Thank you for contacting Samson Technologies. This will definitely work with your iPhone X. You would need to use an Apple Certified Lightning to Camera USB adapter and from there, you would be good to go! If you have any other questions or inquiries, please let me know at any time. I record meetings and need something better than my Logitech Brio's internal microphone. would this work with my PC from 5-8 feet away and Logitech recording software?
Asked by: Gilbert
Yes! If you are 5 to 8 feet away from the wireless receiver then sure but if you are trying to record people that are more than 6 inches away from the microphone (handset) than you'd be better off with a shot gun Microphone.
