FotodioX EZ-Pro Octagon Overview

The 60" EZ-Pro Octagon Softbox with Soft Diffuser for Yongnuo Flashes from FotodioX is part of a line softboxes that are designed for ease of use. They are great for travelling and location photographers requiring a quick and easy setup. The softbox features a collapsible umbrella like structure with heavy duty rod support. Almost instant setup, open the softbox like an umbrella, snap the speed ring into place on the light and you're done.

The baffle and outer diffuser can stay on the light while in storage so it's always ready to use. Tear down is a breeze too. Just remove the softbox from the light and release the umbrella-like mechanism inside (if a grid is attached, remove that first),and the softbox collapses right down. The diffusion panels can be kept in place during take down since they do not need to be removed before collapsing the softbox. The EZ-Pro also comes with its own carrying bag. The optional eggcrate grid contains the light to a more tubular pattern for more of a spotlight effect without light spill.

Benefits
  • Assemble and disassemble in a heartbeat - great for travel
  • Interchangeable speed ring inserts for use on various monolights
  • Modify the light with the inner and outer baffle for even softer light
  • Compatible with optional eggcrate grid

Will the Godox V860IIs speedlight work with this box? If so what else would I need?

It should if you use a type S Bowen’s mount bracket (Godox makes one that’s adjustable for most speedlights that I use).

Will this work well with an SB5000 Nikon Speedlight?
    Asked by: AnnMarie
The FotodioX EZ-Pro Octagon Softbox (48", Bowens Speed Ring), B&H # FOEZP48OBBOW, is designed for use with light fixtures that use the Bowens S-mount speedring connector. As the Nikon SB-5000 Speedlight Flash does not have a built-in Bowens S-mount connection, you would need to purchase an adapter such as the Raya Reflector Adapter for Speedlight, B&H # RARAS, to use the FotodioX EZ-Pro Octagon Softbox with the Nikon SB-5000 Speedlight Flash.

    question

The Elinchrom speed ring that came with the 60 soft box doesnt fit securely. I have to attach the speed ring to the moonlight, then sort of fit the soft box on it after. Is it supposed to be set up like that?

    question

Does the Profoto Speedring fit the B2 lights?
    Asked by: Barbara
Yes, the speedring in the FotodioX EZ-Pro Octagon Softbox (48 , Profoto Speed Ring) would fit the Profoto B2. However, do note that due to the smaller size, you may have to adjust the positioning of the softbox for balance and fit on the Profoto B2 as the head is smaller depth-wise compared to the standard Profoto head.
