8' Air-Cushioned Light Stand Kit (2-Pack) Reviews
Easy to use and sturdy
Using the Amaran 200 with this and it remains stable when extended all the way up. Easy to use
Just what I needed
The price was right and it works perfectly for my needs.
Sent them back
Purchased for of these for my travels. Their light weight and cushion drop seemed like a no brainer. Unfortunately I had to send them back after the first shoot with them. One completely separated and wouldn't go back together. The second one got the tightening screw so tight it would release and the other screw would hold the next section up. Too busy to deal with these types of issues. Also, the cushion system is too strong for a flimsy lightstand and found me trying to force the cushion system as it was soooo slow to release the height. Four light stands would take me 5 minutes to break down to move to the next session of my shoot. Here to purchase a more expensive and item I guess with hopefully better results and satisfaction. B&H is so great and understanding to deal with these things and their service was immediate for the return. Thats why I always come back!!!
Great Little Stand
How do you make these purchases? At work, using other peoples beastly rental gear I can grab professional hardware and achieve whatever the shoot requires. With my own, much more modest projects I have no need for pro film gear BUT I am spoiled by the experience of using SOTA stuff so buying cheap is really difficult for me. I bought one of these stands for a headshot backdrop and once it was here I liked it so much I bought another right away to hold reflectors. Quality stand - worth the price.
Good for the price
Don't put anything too heavy on these.
This air-cushioned stand is very good.
I don't know what the issue is with impact stands. I've had this stand for less than a month, used less than 5 times and it is already broken. It doesn't lock into place and the shaft slips out of the stand. I won't be buying impact again.
Light weight and sturdy!
