The metal speedring has hinged spring-action rod sockets that allow you to initially set up the Rotalux in an untensioned state before opening it to its working size.

Hi would this speed ring work with the normal Rotalux 175cm (69") to make it indirect?
If yes, then does it have a problem with lights since normal rotalux is not as deep as the indirect rotalux?
I have it permanent mounted on my 69" and it works great. I even swapped the ring mount to a balcar mount and it's been solid.

The Elinchrom Speedring for Rotalux Deep Octa Indirect 59" / 150 cm should fit into the Elinchrom Rotalux Octabox (175cm / 69"). Depending on the size of the strobe, it might stick out a little and prevent you from using the front diffuser.
