I have used this adapter with some vintage Leica R-series lenses on a Nikon Z 5. The build quality is superb and it functions beautifully. However, I gave it four stars because with the Z 5 you do not get the normal focus confirmation dot in your viewfinder to let you know your photo will be in focus. This dot is quite accurate on my Nikon D850 with manual focus lenses and I rely on it; but with Leica lenses, a Z 5 and this adapter, the focus confirmation dot never appears. That makes it a challenge to focus Leica lenses handheld accurately because then all you have is your own eye plus the Z's focus peaking. On a tripod this lack of the dot is a moot issue, but if you want to make photos handheld with this adapter on a Nikon Z, you may find it frustrating. Just know that before you buy this adapter. On a tripod you can use Live View and zoom in for accurate focusing, but without that focus confirmation dot in your viewfinder, you may be disappointed when making handheld photos. Thus, it's a fine piece of machined equipment but before you buy it, know what you will and won't get.
