The EXT-ND2 Auto Focus Extension Tube Set from Vello lets you capture close-up shots using the non-macro lenses you already have. This set works with Nikon F-mount cameras that use F-mount lenses, and they provide a practical solution for macro photography with less expensive, non-macro dedicated glass. The 12, 20, and 36 mm tubes can be used individually or stacked together for greater control while decreasing the minimum focusing distance to your subject. The tubes maintain features such as autofocus and autoexposure to offer a fully automatic experience, and since the tubes don't contain optical elements, the optical quality of the lens is not affected.

Vello EXT-ND Reviews
Excellent low cost tubes
I wanted to try macro shots without buying a macro lens. I'll likely make that step soon, but these gave me a chance to experiment. I used a Canon prime 50mm f/1.2 lens with them. I had to use the shorter two, the longer one would not work with the 50mm lens as it focused too close - my lens had to touch the subject. Photos look crisp and clear.
Well made
Only used it once so far but it was VERY easy to use. Still trying to figure out how to get what I want from it but I like how much closer I can get with this extension tube set.
Sturdy Construction.
Tight fit, almost to tight. Mounts could be polished more. Otherwise they work great.
Rings jammed and won't separate
Used this a few times and then two of the rings (tubes) jammed and won't separate. I support you get what you pay for...
Good extension tubes.
Good extension tubes for the money they work just fine got them on sale.
Performs a described
Inexpensive alternative to a macro lens for infrequent use. Performs as described.
Works Well
Haven't used them much, but they do the job. I have a nice macro lens, but these can be useful.
Cheap way to start macro
Always wanted to add macro photography to my adventures and this is a great way to try it out without spending the bucks for a dedicated macro lens. If I end up wanting to do it often then then maybe but for now these are working fine and take great photos while keeping auto focus if you choose to use it. Mainly use manual focus but find the auto focus to work well for quick takes.
